Women take ovulation tests to find out their probable period of ovulation. This is known by the levels of LH or the luteinizing hormone in your body. When a woman has her ovulation period there is a sudden rise of the luteinizing hormone in her body. This level of LH is measured in the ovulation tests to find out when the woman will be in her ovulation period. One step ovulation tests
These one step ovulation tests detect the "LH surge" which the woman body experiences, just before their ovulation time. The one step test is a fast chromatographic immunoassay that can detect the quantity of luteinizing hormone, which is present in your urine. This helps to tell you the probable time of your ovulation period. The accuracy of these one step ovulation tests are 99%. The lab studies show that the sensitivity of the luteinizing hormone one step test is 40 mIU/mL.
The one step ovulation tests helps the women to determine the best time of fertility by knowing the ovulation period. If you are tested positive in these ovulation tests, then your ovulation period is supposed to take place in the coming twenty four to thirty sis hours. There are however a few drugs like the menotropin, which may deter in giving out the correct result.
If you get a negative result after you take the one step ovulation tests, that indicates that tehere have been no surge oh the luteinizing hormone in your body, and so your ovulation period is due. If you are in your mid cycles and still have not ovulated you must not be anxious. Many women do not ovulate exactly at that time. You may get a negative outcome for few days, but you will soon observe a positive result that would point you about your ovulation period. You must go on taking the ovulation tests till you get a positive result.

Procedure to take the test with the kit:
First, you must decide on a date when you will take the test.
On the day of the test open the pouch and take out the device.
You must allow both the test apparatus and the urine specimen to equilibrate to a normal room temperature, which is 15 - 30 degree Celsius, just before testing.
Keep the test apparatus on a leveled surface which is clean and drop 3 full drops of your urine in the canal marked as "S", holding the dropper vertically. Start timer avoiding any air bubbles in "S" canal.
Read the results in 5 minutes. Reading the result after ten minutes may give you the wrong interpretation.
